We have alway had a strong desire to push tech to create unique experiences. Admiring contemporary immersive experiences, like Meow Wolf and Area 15, while also experimenting and building our own XR engagements.
For a recent pitch for a national family entertainment fun center (bowling, laser tag, minigolf, etc.), we did some quick prototypes to show we could bring existing spaces to life and get customers playing games in and outside the space, keeping up brand engagement.
We are delighted to be able to partner with Jordan Hill, whose work we have admired on Twitter for over a year. He recently went out on his own and we immediately reached out to partner with him on this presentation (and hopefully future work).
He is a masterful creative and engineer (like you know…an imagineer? Is that a thing?) He has outdone Disney's beloved Trader Sam’s in his basement!
Just Imagine what we could do with any room!
Adding interactive projection mapping to mini golf is a great way to create new layers of interactivity and gameplay modes - allowing users to have unique experiences each time they visit, even if the physical hole layouts don't change.
The approach here is baby steps. Until Fair Worlds can devote serious R&D into Main Event’s current Laser Tag solution, our concepts are all independent of that system. These layers can be evergreen since they are independent from the shooting and scoring if that system was to be upgraded or replaced.
